Leicester City legend Jamie Vardy has reportedly been linked with a shock move to La Liga as his search for a new club continues.

After 13 years at the club, Vardy announced last month that he will be leaving the Foxes at the end of the current campaign.

Back in 2012, Vardy signed for Leicester in a deal worth a reported fee of £1 million, and the rest was history.

The Englishman went on to win the Premier League title and the FA Cup, as well as becoming the club’s best player in recent history.

Since the announcement was made, Vardy has been linked with a host of different clubs, including sides in Saudi Arabia and the United States, plus teams like Wrexham, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sheffield Wednesday.

Now, the 38-year-old has been linked with a move to Spain.

Jamie Vardy linked with shock La Liga transfer

As reported by The Sun, La Liga side Valencia could make a move for Vardy after it was suggested that he is a top target for manager Carlos Coberan.

The report stated: “The former West Brom boss wants to use Vardy’s experience and believes he is still capable of scoring goals in Spain’s top flight.

“Corberan believes Vardy still has pace to burn and is ideally suited to his side’s counter-attacking game.”

In the 24/25 season, Vardy has managed 10 goals for the Foxes, with nine of them coming in the Premier League.

Last weekend, Vardy managed to get on the scoresheet as he played his final match for Leicester, a 2-0 win over Ipswich Town.

Speaking after the match, manager Ruud van Nistelrooy said: “Only the best can do that when it’s needed and that’s what he does. He focuses on that and achieving things. He puts his mind into his and then he does it.

“That’s not possible for many people. If you look at the amount of games, the amount of goals, the silverware he’s won for the Club, but also individually, his personality as well, he’s a special person.”
