Nottingham Forest centre-back Murillo is a major doubt for Sunday’s crucial Premier League final-day fixture against Chelsea at the City Ground.
The Garibaldi – who need to win and hope other results go their way to qualify for the Champions League – triumphed 2-1 over West Ham United last weekend, despite Murillo twisting his ankle late on.
The Brazilian was able to play through the pain for the rest of the match, but he has not been able to train since, so it would be a surprise if he was given the green light to take part in this one.
As a result, Nuno Espirito Santo should call upon Morato to join Nikola Milenkovic at the back, where the pair will attempt to aid Matz Sels in his quest to win the Premier League’s Golden Glove.
Neco Williams and Ola Aina are at least fine to feature in their familiar full-back roles, as are Nicolas Dominguez and Elliot Anderson at the base of the midfield.
However, a change in shape could see Ibrahim Sangare sacrificed, as Santo reverts to a tried-and-tested 4-2-3-1 shape with ex-Chelsea wonderkid Callum Hudson-Odoi coming back into the fray.
The former Blue will link arms with regular attacking counterparts Anthony Elanga, Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood, who needs to score a hat-trick to set a new record for the most goals by a Forest player in a single Premier League season; his 20 is two fewer than Stan Collymore‘s 22 from 1994-95.
Nottingham Forest possible starting lineup:
Sels; Aina, Milenkovic, Morato, Williams; Dominguez, Anderson; Elanga, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Wood
