Another contender for Zaragoza emerges.

Bryan Zaragoza’s spell at Bayern Munich may be coming to an abrupt end in the summer. Bought from Granada FC for the summer during the 2023/24 season and brought in early on loan in January, the talented Spaniard completely disappeared for most of the season and failed to impress either head coach Thomas Tuchel or successor Vincent Kompany. Instead, as soon as his permanent signature was sealed, he was immediately sent back to Spain, joining Osasuna for the season.

Enjoying a solid season, Zaragoza has impressed his temporary club but they might struggle to bring him back. Instead, according to reporter Matteo Moretto (as captured by @iMiaSanMia, a more financially powerful club could be in for Zaragoza:

Villarreal are targeting Bryan Zaragoza to strengthen their squad after they qualified for next season’s Champions League. The Spaniard is set to leave Bayern this summer.

Sport Bild, again captured by @iMiaSanMia, speculates what the the price tag could be:

Bayern would accept bids close to €18m for Bryan Zaragoza.

Considering the transfer and loan fees Bayern paid Granada, it is very possible that the Bavarians are simply trying to recoup their initial investment.
