Van Dijk, Jones And Jota To Start | 4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup Vs Crystal Palace

3 Min Read

Liverpool will entertain Crystal Palace at Anfield this Sunday afternoon as they look to secure a win before lifting the Premier League title. The Reds suffered a hard-fought 3-2 loss at the hands of Brighton and Hove Albion recently, so they would be eager to end this campaign on a high by securing all three points this weekend.

Arne Slot will set his players up in a 4-3-3 formation and could be inclined to make some tweaks to his first team for this game. Virgil Van Dijk, Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota are all expected to play from the start of this contest.

Defence

Alisson Becker will feature in between the sticks for the Merseyside club after shipping in a couple of goals in his last outing. Ibrahima Konate will resume his partnership with Virgil Van Dijk at the centre of the Liverpool backline as they look to keep things solid at the back during the game.

Conor Bradley will fill in as the right-back while Kostas Tsimikas hopes to prove his worth on the other side as the left-back. Both of them would get the freedom to get forward and express themselves in the opponent’s half.

Andrew Robertson and Jarell Quansah will make up the numbers on the bench as they offer cover for the defensive positions.

Midfield

Curtis Jones, Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szboszlai will make up Slot’s midfield. Their main focus would be to dominate the opposition at the centre of the park and engineer some clear-cut chances in the final third.

Wataru Endo and Harvey Elliott will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second half if needed.

Attack

Cody Gakpo will try to give a good account of himself on the left flank while Mohamed Salah hopes to prove his worth from the right. Diogo Jota will spearhead Liverpool’s attack down the middle.

Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz will have to be content with a place on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if the Reds are in need of a goal by then.
