Paul Wanner will need to prove himself once again…
According to a report from Sport Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich is set to loan out prized youngster Paul Wanner once again.
After a Heidenheim loaned that was…okay, Wanner will likely look to be sent to a more high-profile club. In previous reports, VfB Stuttgart, RB Leipzig, and Eintracht Frankfurt were mentioned as potential destinations. Now, Bayern Munich wants to send Wanner to participate in European play, which cancels out both Stuttgart and Leipzig:
Bayern are planning another loan move for Paul Wanner this summer – this time they want him to develop at a club that will give him European football experience.
Bayern Munich could also be looking to send Wanner abroad, but that might be a stretch at this point. Whatever happens, Wanner next move will be one where he will have to prove he can win a job in a competitive environment — and then be productive. Time could be ticking on his label as a “top prospect” if not.
Wanner will play for the Germany U-21 squad at the EUROs this summer.
