Fresh off the back of reaching the Copa do Brasil quarter-finals Fluminense and Vasco da Gama return to action in the Brasileiro Serie A when they go head to head on Saturday.

The Gigante da Colina, who have failed to win any of their last eight visits to the Estadio Maracana since November 2018, will head into the weekend looking to end this dry spell and secure consecutive league victories for the first time this season.

We say: Fluminense 3-1 Vasco da Gama

After weeks of mediocre results, Vasco da Gama have picked up two consecutive victories and will head into the weekend with renewed confidence. However, Fluminense have been near impenetrable at home this season and we predict they will extend their dominant home streak against Vasco with a comfortable victory.

Two teams separated by one point and a place in the standings will clash when Sao Paulo hosts Mirassol in their gameweek 10 Brazilian Serie A fixture at the MorumBIS stadium on Saturday.

Sitting eleventh in the standings with 12 points after nine matches, the hosts will be aiming to record their third straight win across all competitions, while the visitors will be aiming for their second victory in three league games.

We say: Sao Paulo 1-0 Mirassol

Sao Paulo have had a slow start to the season with only two wins; however, they have been impressive at home and with their dominance over their opponents, we are backing them to claim a narrow 1-0 win over the visitors.

Neck and neck in the Brasileiro table after the opening nine rounds of matches, Atletico Mineiro and Corinthians will lock horns at the MRV Arena on Sunday.

The hosts had to settle for a share of the spoils in their last league outing against Cruzeiro, while the away side just about saw off Santos courtesy of a narrow 1-0 victory.

We say: Atletico Mineiro 1-0 Corinthians

The last five editions of this fixture have averaged less than two goals a game, and we are anticipating another low-scoring affair this weekend.

That said, we are also backing the home side to claim a hard-fought win at the end of the 90 minutes.
