What Everton fans are now saying with Toffees keen on shock Richarlison move from Tottenham

When Richarlison left Everton to sign for Tottenham Hotspur in 2022, the Toffees had lost arguably their best player.

The Brazilian international had registered 10 goals and five assists in the Premier League during the 2021/2022 season and helped save Frank Lampard’s side from relegation.

But it’s safe to say that in a Tottenham shirt, Richarlison has not lived up to the billing. However, TBR Football exclusively revealed on Wednesday that Everton are keen on re-signing Richarlison.

It was uncovered that Everton still hold the former Fluminense forward in high regard, with Ange Postecoglou happy to offload Richarlison after three seasons.

Alan Shearer suspected Everton may sign a striker this summer despite Beto’s incredible form and it seems like their former goalscorer is their dream target.

Several Everton fans have expressed that they would love Richarlison to don a blue shirt again after coming across TBR Football’s exclusive story.

Everton fans would love Richarlison signing from Tottenham

One Everton fan claimed that he would like Richarlison to sport the number nine shirt again if he did return to the club by had concerns about his fitness, writing: “I want it to be true, I think he’d come. Give him the number nine. If he can prove he can play more than six games a season.”

Another Everton supporter claimed that Richarlison and David Moyes would form an incredible striker-manager partnership: “If he can stay fit, him and [David] Moyes are a match made in heaven, an initial loan move would be perfect.”

A third supporter simply expressed: “Bring him home. On loan.”

A fourth Everton fan claimed that Richarlison’s injury woes are not as bad as some make out and it would be a fool’s errand to write him off: “IMO [in my opinion] his injuries aren’t as bad as made out. He clearly wants to come back to us. If he does, he will flourish again and won’t have as many injuries. He never wanted to leave it was forced by the PL [Premier League] and PSR [Profit and Sustainability Rules]. Write him off at your peril IMO.”

A fifth supporter stated that the prospect of Richarlison, Beto and [Youssef] Chermiti as their centre-forwards is too good an opportunity to turn down: “Each to their own opinion but if you can get Richy on loan, I’d be all over it. He’d be 28 in the summer. Him, Beto and Chermiti would be superb for me.”

Finally, a sixth Everton fan believes that Richarlison is far from finished as a player and he showcased his value against his former club in Tottenham’s 3-2 defeat earlier this season: “I’ve seen some me mad comments on this. He’s definitely not finished, he looked really sharp for 45 minutes vs us after a long injury. The deal would have to be right financially but a lot of top football left in Richarlison.”

Some Everton fans against Richarlison move due to his injuries

But other Everton fans were against the idea of signing Richarlison.

The main reason why they were doubtful is due to his injury worries.

One Everton fan claimed he would happily take Richarlison if he did not frequently get injured, saying: “It’s a pity he can’t play more than 1 game without getting injured otherwise id take him all day long.”

Another supporter added: “Absolute rubbish. He’s injured all the time and nowhere near the player he was. Great when with us but no way would we look to bring him back with his injury record and high wages.”

A third Everton fan also stated that as much as he loves Richarlison, a move would not be advisable due to how unavailable he can be: “We love him, he loves us but he’s far too injury prone. It’s a no from me.”

Whether the Merseyside-based club go ahead with the transfer or not would be interesting to see as it would unexpected be one of the most surprising swoops of the summer.
