Is this a possibility for Bayern Munich in the summer?

Bayern Munich will be on the hunt for cost efficient ways to boost their attacking group and one player who will be a free agent is Liverpool FC superstar Mo Salah.

Speaking to BoyleSports, who offer the latest Cheltenham betting, ex-Liverpool defender Stephane Henchoz said that he is not convinced Salah will leave Liverpool.

“Mohamed Salah still has what it takes to play for a club like PSG or Bayern Munich, but I can’t see him playing for another big club in Europe that isn’t Liverpool. Look at the mistakes made by Liverpool players of the past, Philippe Coutinho at Barcelona and Fernando Torres at Chelsea. They were never the same players again and that might be a warning,” Henchoz stated. “Players in the past might not have known what they had at Anfield but I think there are two possibilities for Salah, he stays at the club and signs a new contract or he goes to Saudi Arabia. He could go to Bayern Munich, but I can’t see him having the same kind of impact.”

However, Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk stated that even if Salah would consider a move to Germany, Bayern Munich might have its eyes on other prizes.

“It’s not true that Bayern would be prepared to swoop for Mo Salah if his contract is allowed to expire at Liverpool,” Falk told CaughtOffside in his exclusive Fact Files column. “There’s no movement from Bayern Munich for Salah regardless of what happens with his contract. The same also applies to Virgil van Dijk. Many ‘not trues’ with this particular rumor.”

Certainly, the wing position is one where the Bavarians could be looking to upgrade, but if you listen to both Henchoz and Falk, it seems unlikely for Bayern Munich to get involved with Salah.
