Micah Richards has just revealed the dream which Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah told him he had when they were teammates together at Fiorentina.
Mohamed Salah climbed into third place on Liverpool’s all-time goal scorer list as he netted twice against Southampton to take his tally to 243.
The win also helped them move 16 points clear of Arsenal at the top of the table and the Egyptian forward now has one hand firmly on his second Premier League title.
Speaking after his 243rd goal for Liverpool, Richards announced the dream the 32-year-old had and how he is currently living out that dream at Anfield.
Micah Richards on Mohamed Salah’s dream of playing for Liverpool at Fiorentina
Micah Richards has revealed that Mo Salah told him during their time together at Fiorentina that his dream was to play for Liverpool.
Salah only spent six months in Florence having been loaned to the Serie A club by Chelsea before making the switch to Roma during the following season.
After a superb season in the Italian capital, he swiftly returned to England to achieve his dream of playing for Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp signed him in 2017.
Now, 390 appearances, 243 goals and six major trophies later, the forward is without doubt living out his dream on Merseyside.
Richards told MOTD: “Salah, we talk about him so much – he’s breathtaking. When I say he’s breathtaking, not because he has a great game all the time, but because he scores, he’s clinical, and he punishes you all the time.
“I remember when I was at Fiorentina with him and he always said his dream was to play for Liverpool – he’s living out his dream at Liverpool and he’s doing amazingly well.”

Salah still needs 103 more goals to become the club’s all-time top goal scorer with Ian Rush well clear of him sitting top of the chart.
