The English captain dominated Bayern’s rout of Leverkusen over two legs.

Yeah, that Harry Kane…he’s built different.

After a brace in the first leg, Kane netted a goal and an assist in the second leg of Bayern Munich’s 5-0 aggregate victory over Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League Round of 16.

“Harry’s motivation, his personal motivation, is something I don’t need to talk much about,” head coach Vincent Kompany stated after the match in comments captured by @iMiaSanMia. “It helps when you have a top player who wants to run, wants to compete, like a youth player. When you see how he prepares, then, as a coach, you stay calm. It’s not surprising that he had two good games against Leverkusen.”

Kane’s fit in Kompany’s high-octane scheme has occasionally been a topic for conversation — as has the Englishman’s presence in big games. But these were two of the biggest of the year and the England captain led the way in both of them. A big player delivering for a big club.
