Liverpool face Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday, and this game may well hinge on the performance of both teams’ star players.
Indeed, Mohamed Salah is in Ballon d’Or winning form at the moment, and he can change any game in an instant.
Meanwhile, Newcastle United have their own dangerman in the shape of Alexander Isak.
Isak has been incredible this season, and, as you can imagine, Isak’s form has caught the attention of some of the biggest clubs in football.
Arsenal want to sign Alexander Isak, while Liverpool have also been linked with Isak.
Speaking on Liverpool’s YouTube channel, Arne Slot has been discussing Isak amid his links to Liverpool, and he says that the striker is an unbelievable player who reminds him of some of PSG’s attackers.
Arne Slot says Alexander Isak is unbelievable
Slot spoke highly of the Newcastle star.
The Liverpool boss says he’s well aware of the threat posed by Isak heading into this game, claiming that he’s an unbelievable player.
“Looking at Newcastle, we played them twice, in the last game Isak wasn’t involved, the game before he was involved. He’s such an important player for them and an unbelievable threat, he has the speed that the attackers of PSG had yesterday as well, and they were more than I would’ve liked in front of Alisson in the last two games we played them,” Slot said.
Alexander Isak stats vs Liverpool this season
Slot says that Isak is an unbelievable player, and he’s experienced that first-hand this season.
Indeed, as Slot says, Isak has played one game against his Liverpool side this season, and, in that game, Isak was electric.
The Swedish striker grabbed a goal and an assist in that match, but that only tells half of the story.
When you look at Isak’s stats from that game, you can see that the striker was running the show.

A goal and an assist is brilliant, but five dribbles and five key passes just goes to show what an incredible player Isak is.
This isn’t a striker who is simply a poacher, this is an attacker who has it all.
There’s a reason Liverpool are looking at signing Isak, and, worryingly, they will have to try to contain the Newcastle star at Wembley on Sunday.
