The captain is speaking…

Manuel Neuer’s current contract with Bayern Munich runs until 2026. Once he reaches the end of those terms, he will have spent 14 years at the club. So it is safe to say the World Cup winner knows Bayern very well. Now as captain of the club, as a result of Bayern’s 125th anniversary, the legendary goalkeeper released a statement, as captured by @iMiaSanMia.

“It’s an indescribable feeling to win trophies, and since I have been at FC Bayern I have been able to experience a unique era. Twice the treble, our historic sextuple, 11 consecutive league titles – I’m very happy to be part of this club, which is now a proud 125 years old and is not showing any signs of ageing because it’s constantly mobilizing new strengths to never let up. Congratulations also to the fans who support our team all the time and everywhere – all our trophies are always for you,” Neuer said.

To the evergreen nature of this dominant football club that will hopefully continue to prosper for many years to come.
