Tottenham Hotspur will look to finish a difficult 2024/25 campaign on a triumphant note as they continue to impress in the Europa League.

Pedro Porro is one of the players who has played a big part in Spurs’ run to the semi-finals, making 11 appearances in the competition including 10 starts.

Destiny Udogie and Micky van de Ven seriously impressed by Porro’s latest display in the 3-1 first-leg win over Bodo/Glimt.

Porro has also featured prominently in Tottenham’s Premier League campaign, making 31 appearances including 26 starts.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou sung Porro’s praises ahead of Sunday’s Premier League trip to West Ham United.

The Spurs boss also revealed what Porro is “continually” being made to work on in training at Hotspur Way these days.

Tottenham right-back Pedro Porro working on delivery and positioning

Postecoglou was asked at Friday’s pre-match press conference what it was like to have a “playmaker but at right-back” in Porro.

The Tottenham manager replied, as per football.london: “Really important and it’s something we’re continually working on to get him on the ball in more key areas and also work on his positioning a little bit as well.

“He does have such quality with his ability to hit the longer pass, but also the quality of his crosses, , every time he puts the ball in the box, whether that’s a set piece or just a cross in general, it causes oppositions problems.”

Postecoglou also praised Porro for his durability in a season plagued by injuries.

“He’s played more than anyone else this year,” continued Postecoglou. “He’s been unbelievable for us.

“Not just in his durability which has been important because with so many players going down, we’ve needed at least a few to be durable like he has, but also the quality he’s shown.”

Could Pedro Porro leave Tottenham this summer?

There’s no doubt Porro has been a superb player for Tottenham, going from strength to strength and becoming one of the league’s best right-backs.

That being said, TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Tottenham would entertain the possibility of selling Porro for more than £50million this summer.

Djed Spence has emerged as an option to be first choice and the Tottenham hierarchy are now looking at their budgets.

Like most Premier League clubs, Tottenham need to always be considering PSR – and Porro could be an option to sell as a result.

Manchester City, Juventus and Bayern Munich are all monitoring Porro ahead of the summer transfer window.
