Tottenham Hotspur are likely to be busy in the summer transfer window after a difficult season marred by injuries.

Spurs will not only be looking to improve the quality and strength in depth of their squad, but also look to replace players set to leave.

Sergio Reguilon is one such player, with his Tottenham contract set to expire at the end of the season.

Now, Spurs are said to have made an approach for a potential replacement from a Premier League rival, namely Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Tottenham reported to have made £30m offer for Wolves star Rayan Ait-Nouri

Tottenham are reported to have made contact with Wolves over a potential move for Rayan Ait-Nouri, according to Africafoot.

Indeed, Spurs are said to have made a €35million (£30million) offer for Ait-Nouri and are now ‘the most likely candidates’ to sign the Algeria international.

The report claims Tottenham are up against Liverpool and West Ham United in pursuit of Ait-Nouri.

Arsenal have also been linked with Ait-Nouri, while Manchester United are also reportedly keen on Ait-Nouri.

What Rayan Ait-Nouri could bring to Tottenham

A lot of clubs are set to be after Ait-Nouri this summer, and it’s not surprising, given how good he has been for Wolves.

Competition Appearances Goals Assists Minutes
Premier League 28 3 5 2.394′
FA Cup 3 1 217′
EFL Cup 1 62′
Total this season 32 4 5 2.673′

Ait-Nouri is versatile enough to be able to play as a left-winger, a right-winger, and even as a No. 10 or a centre-back.

Indeed, he has been great in attack, so he could complement or even cover for Son Heung-min further up the pitch.

Former teammate Conor Coady previously said Ait-Nouri has “bags of tricks” and is “brilliant to have around”.

Meanwhile, pundit Ally McCoist said Ait-Nouri is capable of producing “ridiculous” and “majestic” passes.

With Ait-Nouri’s contract running until 2026 – albeit with a year’s option – Wolves’ hand may not be the strongest in negotiations.

However, Tottenham will have to be mindful of a bidding war breaking out for one of the English top flight’s most exciting left-footers.
