‘Five-star weak foot’: Van de Ven says £30m Tottenham player has an even better weak foot than Heung-min Son

Micky van de Ven has named the Tottenham Hotspur player with the best weak foot in the squad and surprisingly, it wasn’t Son Heung-min who he selected.

Son is renowned for being able to shoot with both feet and is one of the best in Europe, however, Van de Ven opted for another teammate when picking the Tottenham Hotspur player with a five-star weak foot.

Van de Ven picked one of his teammates who has shown incredible versatility this season and the Dutch international’s comments on his both-footed ability prove why he’s been able to fill many different roles.

Micky van de Ven on Archie Gray being both footed

Micky van de Ven picked Archie Gray as the Tottenham Hotspur player with the five-star weak-foot in the squad.

Gray, who Tottenham signed for £30m, has shown an ability to play in several different positions having played across the defence for Ange Postecoglou’s team.

The Dutch defender claims that the teenager has shown he can use both feet just as well and is happy to use his left foot when needed.

When asked which Tottenham player has the best weak foot, Van de Ven told SpursOfficial: “I’ll go for Archie (Gray).

“If you see every time he also plays in different positions, he does everything with his left foot without a doubt, so I would say he is both-footed and has a five-star weak foot.”

Mikey Moore and Destiny Udogie picks Son Heung-min’s weak foot as the best

Meanwhile, Mikey Moore and Destiny Udogie both picked Son’s weak foot as the best at Tottenham, with the former claiming that the South Korean’s left foot is ‘unbelievable’.

Moore said: “I have to go for him again, Sonny. His left foot is unbelievable, it’s like his right, so it’s definitely him.”

The 32-year-old has netted 127 Premier League goals in total, with 74 coming on his right foot and 49 being scored using his left.
