Chelsea want Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina and are working on a deal to sign him.
The 28 year old Nigerian has been an important player for Forest this season, and has played a significant role in their rise to challengers for Champions League football next season.
Aina already knows Chelsea well – he came through their academy and made six senior appearances for them, but left in the search for regular first team football. He subsequently spent four seasons in Italy with Torino, before returning to England and a loan spell with Fulham.
He joined Forest in 2020, and he has subsequently made 52 appearances for them in all competitions.
Forest are trying to get him commit to a new deal, although they do have the option of a nother year on his existing contract. There is also interest in him from the Saudi Pro League, but Chelsea are hoping he will be tempted by the thought of unfinished business in West London.
