Real Madrid are set to be missing five players for Saturday’s La Liga contest with Leganes at Bernabeu.
Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao are both making excellent progress in their respective recoveries from long-term knee injuries, but it will still be some time before either will be available for selection.
Meanwhile, Ferland Mendy, Dani Ceballos and Jesus Vallejo remain on the treatment table for the Spanish and European champions.
Crucially, though, Carlo Ancelotti‘s side have not picked up any fresh fitness concerns from the March international matches, so the likes of Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe should be in the XI.
Mendy’s absence will mean another start at left-back for Fran Garcia, but there is expected to be two changes from the side that took to the field for the first whistle against Villarreal before the international break.
Indeed, Antonio Rudiger is in line for a spot in the middle of the defence, with Aurelien Tchouameni therefore expected to be move into a central midfield role for the visit of Leganes.
Vinicius started as a substitute against Villarreal, but the Brazilian will also be back in the XI on Saturday night.
Mbappe took his total for the season to 31 with a brace against Villarreal last time out, and the France international will again lead the Real Madrid line this weekend.
Real Madrid possible starting lineup: Courtois; Vazquez, Asencio, Rudiger, F Garcia; Valverde, Tchouameni, Bellingham; Rodrygo, Mbappe, Vinicius
