This is a tough spot for the veteran…

The re-aggravated calf issue for Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer might be worse than originally thought per a report from Bild (via @iMiaSanMia):

Manuel Neuer’s second injury was in the same calf area as the first one. The problem is that this time, the injury is somewhat more severe. Neuer will miss St. Pauli and Augsburg and is now also expected to miss the first leg against Inter.

The goalkeeper is also a doubt for Dortmund and the second leg against Inter. Neuer is currently undergoing rehab at Säbener Straße. He was at the performance center on Thursday for a recovery session. He’s doing everything he can to return quickly – but at the moment, everything indicates that Jonas Urbig will get the next run of games.

Neuer is not the only player who might have pushed it too hard to come back too quickly. Hopefully, the veteran can get fully healthy soon, but he might have a tough road ahead of him.
