With no Premier League action this weekend, the eyes of many Arsenal fans – along with supporters of other teams – were on the FA Cup quarter-finals.
First up was Fulham against Crystal Palace, a game the visitors convincingly won 3-0 to become the first team to reach this season’s FA Cup semi-finals.
Eberechi Eze opened the scoring on 34 minutes when he cut inside his marker and, while still outside the box, curled home a superb effort.
Four minutes later, Palace went two up thanks to Ismalia Sarr, who headed home after being set up by a cross from Eze.
Arsenal academy graduate Eddie Nketiah wrapped up the scoring on 75 minutes when he slotted through Bernd Leno’s legs after being assisted by Daichi Kamada.
Plenty of Arsenal fans liked what they saw from Eze and made their feelings known on social media.

Arsenal fans call on club to sign Eberechi Eze
Arsenal fans called on their club to sign Eze in the summer in order to strengthen their left flank.
“The way Eberechi Eze replaced Wilfred Zaha in that left wing is so perfect,” one Arsenal fan wrote on X.
“Arsenal gave Crystal Palace Eddie Nketiah who is a world class striker & I think it would be fair if they gave us Eze as a sign of bromance and goodwill.”
Another said: “I really want to see Eze at left wing for Arsenal next season. Would easily get into the starting 11.”
The praise kept coming, with one fan writing: “Arsenal should go all out and sign Eze this summer.
“He’s a million miles ahead of any of our left side choices, I just hope he doesn’t end up at Chelsea or Spuds as reported.”
Another said: “I said Arsenal should get either Olise or Eze for 3 seasons now. Been quality and consistent. He’s low-key better than Foden for England.”
And another wrote: “If Eze is available for 50-60 million, Arsenal have to buy him!
“We’ve too often bought safe, controlling players without adding the creative and flair players. Eze would be a great addition!”
How much Arsenal could have to pay for Eberechi Eze
Arsenal were interested in signing Eze last summer, and they’re not the only team who were keen on the England international. Tottenham were also interested in Eze.
In terms of how much Arsenal would have to pay for Eze, he has a release clause worth over £60million and the Eagles are ready to demand that value for any deal.
At 26 years of age, Eze is entering his peak, and he’s proven in the Premier League, so Arsenal would be getting themselves a star ready for first-team action for a relatively modest fee.
Perhaps Arsenal may want to think about re-signing their former academy prodigy again at some point.
