Martinelli – who gave Timothy Castagne a hard time – thought he had scored a late goal of his own, but it was offside.
With Real Madrid coming up next week, it’s great to see the £6million man hit form at just the right time.
Interestingly, Arsenal are willing to sell Martinelli this summer, but with displays like this one, it’ll certainly be food for thought for Andrea Berta.
Arsenal are next in action on Saturday when they head to Everton in the day’s early Premier League kick-off.
The Gunners then host Real Madrid on Tuesday night in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.
