Bayern Munich star Harry Kane has said he is “extremely happy” at the Allianz Arena as he played down talk of a Premier League return.
Kane racked up 213 goals in 317 Premier League appearances during his long association with Tottenham Hotspur, before he departed to complete a move to German giants Bayern in the summer of 2023.
The 32-year-old has quickly established himself as a key player in the Bayern side, having scored 77 goals in 83 competitive matches.
The England captain still has two years left to run on his Bayern contract, which is set to run until the summer of 2027.
However, Kane has been linked with a move back to the Premier League following speculation that Liverpool are the frontrunners to secure his signature.
Bayern star responds to Premier League links
Kane has now dismissed the transfer speculation as “a few random stories”, while he admitted he has not decided whether he wants to return Premier League at some point in the future.
“I’m not sure,” Kane said in an interview with ESPN. “I’ve said throughout my whole career, I’m not someone who likes to think too far ahead.”
“I’m extremely happy here. I think we have a fantastic team, fantastic coaching staff and I just feel like whilst I feel like I’m in the best condition, I wanna play at the highest level possible, and this is as high as it gets.
“So I know a lot can change in football in a short space of time and things can happen, but ultimately my focus is here.
Kane addresses wait for first trophy
Kane has won several individual accolades during his career, including three Premier League Golden Boots and one World Cup Golden Boot in 2018.
However, he is still waiting for his first major trophy despite going close with club and country on a number of occasions.
Kane insists his wait for silverware does not affect how he views his own success, but he concedes that winning a trophy could help “stop the noise” around him.
“I’ve done a lot of things I’ve wanted to do in my career so far. Of course, I know the team trophy is the one that everyone will refer back to, but ultimately, you know, you have to do your best in every situation. And I feel like I’ve done that,”
“From when I set out, it was always about how consistent I could be. I looked at the greats of the game and what made them great, and it wasn’t just doing it in spells, it was doing it year after year.

“And that was a big drive of mine to be able to consistently be one of the best players in the world. And that drive will be with me until the end of my career, whether I finish with one trophy or 20 trophies.
“Ultimately, it won’t change my mindset and what I want to achieve and how I try and achieve it. We have another opportunity this year to win some trophies and, and that would be incredible, and maybe that would stop that noise around me a little bit.
“But, I think in football in general, you’re always gonna have people who doubt you, people who criticize you. The most important thing is that you know what you’re trying to achieve.
“Your teammates respect you for how you work and the club respect you and the fans respect you, and that’s ultimately who I care about.”
Kane is in a strong position to end his trophy wait this season, with Bayern on the hunt to achieve Bundesliga and Champions League glory.
The Bavarians are currently sitting six points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table, while they are set to face Inter Milan in this month’s Champions League quarter-finals.
