Jared Cannonier has a net worth of approximately $2 million. The primary source of income has been his time in the UFC. He previously served in the US Army as well. He has accumulated more than $1 million from MMA.

His biggest payday was against Derek Brunson in February 2022, when he knocked him out in the second round. Cannonier made $221,000 that night.

In his first-ever UFC fight, Cannonier earned $8000 after suffering a knockout loss against Shawn Jordan at UFC 182. Jared Cannonier won his first UFC fight in 2025 against Gregory Rodrigues and received $400k for the bout.

Jared Cannonier MMA career and UFC record

Jared Cannonier made his MMA debut on the 19th of June, 2011 in a promotion called Midnight Sun Mayhem. He was 27 at that time.

Following a winning start, Cannonier moved to Alaska Fighting Championship, where he played his trade for a while.

In three years’ time, he was 7-0 up in his MMA career. This earned him a chance in the UFC.

His debut didn’t go well, as Shawn Jordan knocked him out in the very first round. Cannonier bounced back strongly with back-to-back wins.

Cannonier was once again pegged back with a unanimous decision loss against Glover Teixeira. He then won just one of his next three fights, losing to Jan Blachowicz and Dominick Reyes.

It was only after this, Cannonier decided to go down to the middleweight division. He made his middleweight debut on the 3rd of November, 2018 against David Branch and earned a second-round TKO victory.

Cannonier then beat the legendary Anderson Silva at UFC 237, via. TKO to earn back-to-back wins in the middleweight division.

He took on Jack Hermansson and knocked out the hard-as-nails Swede to rapidly climb up the middleweight ladder.

However, his progress was hampered after he lost to Robert Whittaker at UFC 254, via. unanimous decision.

He came back strong against Kelvin Gastelum in the main event of UFC Vegas 34, with a unanimous decision win.

Cannonier’s MMA record stands at 18 wins and 8 losses.

Jared Cannonier Family, Personal Life and Endorsements

Jared Cannonier was born on the 16th of March, 1984 in Dallas, Texas. Not much is known about his early life and parents.

Before taking up martial arts, Cannonier served in the US Army for almost three years. And, that was when he met his future wife Catherine, in Alabama.

The couple are married and have three kids together.

Cannonier, endorses a protein bar brand called Built Bar.
