The left back situation is a disaster at Bayern Munich…
When it rains it pours.
As if having two left-backs already injured and one on loan, there is at least some question surrounding the health of Bayern Munich veteran Raphaël Guerreiro.
Per Bild journalist Heiko Niedderer, Guerreiro missed Wednesday’s training session:
Guerreiro is also missing from Bayern’s current training session! Things are starting to get really tight in defense… more in BILD.
Later, Bild (via @iMiaSanMia) would report that Guerreiro worked out indoors and that his status for Friday’s match against FC Augsburg would be determined on Thursday:
Guerreiro worked indoors today. A decision on whether he’ll be available against Augsburg will be made tomorrow.
It is unclear exactly what is bothering Guerreiro right now, so stay tuned.
Goretzka took part in training, but cut it short
According to Bild (via @iMiaSanMia), Leon Goretzka practiced today, but only lasted 30 minutes:
Leon Goretzka resumed team training today but only trained for 30 minutes. He’s also a doubt for Augsburg.
Goretzka, who might need to play center-back at some point soon, is likely in doubt for Friday’s game.
Coman still out
Per Bild (via @iMiaSanMia), Kingsley Coman will miss the FC Augsburg game due to a foot issue:
Kingsley Coman (foot irritation) still has not resumed training and is out of Friday’s game against Augsburg.
Min-jae returns to training, but is still banged up
Kim Min-jae took part in training today, but still has some things bothering him (via @iMiaSanMia):
Kim Min-jae (Achilles tendon problems, cold, back problems) is back with the team today after he was given a rest yesterday.
Young players take part in training
According to a report from Bild (via @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich had quite a few youth players work out in first team training:
Six relatively ‘unknown’ youth talents took part in first team training under Vincent Kompany to compensate for the defensive injuries: Cassiano Kiala (16/CB), Chivano Wijks (16/RB), Roko Mijatović (17/CB), Raphael Pavlic (17/CB), Magnus Dalpiaz (18/CB/RB), Julien Gerd-Joachim Yanda (17/LB).
