Manchester United could be set for a busy summer transfer window.

Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close eye on a shock player ahead of the summer transfer window.

It has been a season to forget so far for United as their Premier League form continues to disappoint.

With eight matches to play, the Red Devils are currently 13th in the Premier League table, 36 points behind leaders Liverpool.

However, there is still a chance Ruben Amorim can close out his first season as United boss with a trophy.

United will take on Lyon in the quarter-final of the Europa League on Thursday as they bid to qualify for the Champions League by winning Europe’s second-best competition.

Looking ahead to the summer, United have been linked with a host of different players, including the likes of Victor Osimhen, Milos Kerkez and Felix Nmecha.

In recent days, it has been claimed that United scouts have been tracking Udinese striker Lorenzo Lucca.

As reported by Sportmediaset, United have joined several big teams in watching the 24-year-old in action.

So far, Lucca has managed 12 goals and two assists in 33 appearances across all competitions for Udinese, who sit 10th in the Serie A table.

As per the report, United have joined Serie A powerhouses Inter Milan and Napoli in showing interest in the young striker.

In addition, Lucca is unlikely to cost a huge amount of money, which will fit United’s transfer plans for the summer.

According to Transfermarkt, Lucca has a market value of €22 million.

The Red Devils will return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon when they welcome local rivals Manchester City to Old Trafford.

Speaking ahead of the match, Amorim said: “We want to win this game, we want to improve in the league table and especially we want to win games. We are going to have full focus on this game.”
