‘Look’: Thierry Henry shares what he told Kylian Mbappe just before Real Madrid faced Arsenal last night

Arsenal icon Thierry Henry saw his old club beat Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe in the Champions League.

The Gunners produced a memorable display from start to finish and beat the Galacticos convincingly thanks to a brace from Declan Rice and a goal from Mikel Merino.

Mikel Arteta and his men were all delighted after the game, but Mbappe, as you would expect, was disappointed with how his side fared.

Henry shares a great relationship with the Real Madrid number nine, but his support last night was reserved for one club – his beloved Arsenal.

What Thierry Henry told Kylian Mbappe before Arsenal vs Real Madrid

Henry is usually in the studio during Champions League games, but he was present at the Emirates on Tuesday night.

The Frenchman, who knows a thing or two about beating Real Madrid, saw Arsenal pick up a fantastic victory, and he was absolutely delighted with the result.

Before the game, however, Henry was a bit worried about one Real Madrid player – Mbappe.

The World Cup winner has the ability to win games on his own for his side, and even the most optimistic Arsenal fan had some concerns about facing him.

That is why Henry, when he met Mbappe before the game during the warm-ups, gave him a hug and asked him not to turn up against Arsenal.

“Look, it’s always massive respect when I see Kylian Mbappe,” Henry said on CBS Sports. “We both went to Clairefontaine.

“Tonight, he’s playing against the team that I love the most in the world. I don’t wish anything bad on him, but tonight, I said to him: ‘Please, I don’t want to see you.’”

What Kylian Mbappe has said about the second leg after Real Madrid lost 3-0 to Arsenal

Arsenal have a huge advantage going into the second leg.

It’s definitely not over, but the Gunners haven’t conceded three goals in a single game all season, so they will back themselves to finish the job in Madrid.

Mbappe, however, is not accepting defeat just yet.

After the game at the Emirates on Tuesday night, the French World Cup winner took his Instagram Story and posted a message to the Real Madrid fans.

“You have to believe until the end,” he wrote.

Real Madrid will give it their all against Arsenal in the second leg. Arteta will know that, and we’re sure he will get his side prepared.
