According to Romano, Arteta considers Nico Williams the perfect signing for Arsenal as he looks for a new winger.

The journalist says that Arsenal will sign a winger in the upcoming transfer window, and Arteta believes that Nico Williams is the ideal addition to this side.
“Arsenal will sign a striker, but they will also sign a winger, and Nico Williams is considered the perfect player by Mikel Arteta. Chelsea also appreciate the player. There are several clubs interested in Nico, it will be a big race, Arsenal will be there for sure, but not only them,’ Romano said.

Mikel Arteta believes Nico Williams will be brilliant for Arsenal, but there is reason to be wary about this signing.
Indeed, while Williams earned huge praise for his performances at the Euros last summer, that form hasn’t carried through at club level this season.
The numbers show that Williams hasn’t been amazing this season, and, in some ways, he’s been outperformed by Gabriel Martinelli.

Arsenal do need a new winger, Martinelli hasn’t been amazing over the last two seasons, and the Gunners could do with a bit of extra depth, but whether or not Williams is the answer is up for debate.
