Liverpool lineup vs. West Ham: Predicted XI for Premier League clash as Arne Slot makes three changes

2 Min Read

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot will have Alisson Becker back at his disposal for Sunday’s Premier League match with West Ham United at Anfield.

The Brazilian has been out of contention for the last two matches against Everton and Fulham due to the head injury he sustained on international duty, allowing Caoimhin Kelleher to guard the sticks.

However, Alisson has now passed all of the protocol checks and has been given the green light to return for the visit of the Hammers, so Kelleher is likely to return to his usual place on the bench.

Alisson’s availability is one of two boosts that the Reds will receive for the weekend, as Conor Bradley made his comeback from a hamstring problem off the bench in the loss to Fulham and is fit to start this one.

Bradley starting at right-back would force Curtis Jones out of the XI, but Ibrahima Konate, Andy Robertson and Virgil van Dijk – on the verge of signing a new contract – are expected to retain their spots in defence.

The same goes for the regular midfield partnership of Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch, while Dominik Szoboszlai will operate in the most advanced engine room role as ever.

Two days on from signing a highly-anticipated new deal, Mohamed Salah will set a new all-time record for Premier League goal contributions in a 38-game season with a goal or assist on Sunday, but he has failed to register a direct involvement in his last four games in all tournaments.

Diogo Jota should aid the Egyptian in his quest from the centre-forward position, but Cody Gakpo‘s spot is under threat from Luis Diaz following the Colombian’s strike against Fulham.

Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Alisson; Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz; Jota
