Chelsea continue to be heavily linked with a move to sign Victor Osimhen in the summer.
The Nigerian striker has spent the current season on loan with Fenerbahçe in Turkey, but will return to his parent club Napoli at the end of the campaign.
They are expect to sell one of the most in-demand strikers in Europe, but anybody who wants to buy him will also need to satisfy his salary demands as well. He is looking for ₤9.5 million a year, which would put him among the top earners at Chelsea.
Currently Reece James, who is on ₤250,000 a week is the top earner at a club where a conscious decision has been made by the owners to drive down the salary costs.
However, Chelsea also will be aware that if they want to raise the quality of their frontline, then they need to be prepared to pay the necessary tariff.
