Djed Spence has been praising one of his Tottenham Hotspur teammates who’s found opportunities under Ange Postecoglou hard to come by since signing.
Spence will know very well about having to wait for your chance at Tottenham Hotspur having taken almost two years to eventually make his first Premier League start after signing.
The 24-year-old has now hailed one of his teammates who has struggled for game time in North London since arriving having played just eight times under Ange Postecoglou, but Spence really rates him.
Djed Spence has been impressed by Antonin Kinsky at Tottenham
Djed Spence revealed that he has been impressed by Antonin Kinsky at Tottenham and has been speaking about what he can bring to the team.
Spurs’ defender admitted that Kinsky brings composure to the team and is ‘very good’ on the ball, which is so important for a modern-day goalkeeper.
The Czech Republic shotstopper has only featured on eight occasions this season under Ange Postecoglou after Guglielmo Vicario returned from injury.
Kinsky, who Tottenham signed for £12.5 million, showed promising signs in the early stages of his career in North London, most notably keeping a clean sheet on his debut against Liverpool.
When asked about Kinsky, Spence told the Premier League’s YouTube channel: “He brings composure. As a keeper, he’s very good with the ball, so I think that’s one of his main strengths as well.”
What Djed Spence said about Guglielmo Vicario
Spence also hailed his current number one Guglielmo Vicario calling him a ‘great shotstopper’ and ‘a leader in the team’.
Vicario’s leadership on the pitch has not gone unnoticed, and when asked about the Italian, that is one of the traits Spence said made him a leader in the team.
Spence said: “He’s a top goalkeeper, great shotstopper. He’s very passionate and very loud. He’s very talkative on the pitch, so he’s one of the leaders in the team.”
