Kiwior’s value doubles

1 Min Read

Jacob Kiwior’s value in the transfer market has doubled in terms of his asking price.

Signed from Italian club Spezia in 2023, the Polish defender has endured a difficult time at the Emirates, and when he was asked to fill in at left-back, he was often exposed by wingers with pace and guile.

He has repeatedly been linked with a move back to Italy, and it was thought that the Gunners would be fortunate to get back the ₤20 million they paid for him originally.

Many Arsenal supporters feared for the worst when Gabriel Magalhães was ruled out for the season but Kiwior has scarcely put a foot wrong since taking his place, and had fine games in both legs against Real Madrid in the Champions League.

And whilst Kiwior’s long-term future may well lie away from the Emirates, the amount of money that they can expect to get from him in the transfer market has increased substantially. The 25 year old is under contract in North London until 2028.
