There were 60,415 fans inside Anfield that witnessed Liverpool win the Premier League title on Saturday, as the Reds thrashed Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 despite only needing one point.

Arne Slot became the sixth head coach to win a Premier League in his first season, and Mohamed Salah admitted that it was his greatest achievement at the club. Although Liverpool won the title five years ago under former head coach Jurgen Klopp, this was the first time in 35 years that the Reds were able to celebrate in front of fans.

After dominating the Premier League this season, and following the lack of celebrations due to the pandemic in 2020, Liverpool fans were keen to put on the ultimate party after clinching the title. Even prior to Sunday’s game the streets of Liverpool were full of fans, and more crowds gathered before full-time.

Liverpool fans are set to party long into the night after another Premier League success, with the Reds now equal with Manchester United on domestic titles. The party is set to continue throughout the rest of the season, with four games remaining until Liverpool gets its hands on the trophy.
