TBR Football understands that Fulham have spoken about bringing Harvey Elliott back to Craven Cottage as Liverpool look at Antonee Robinson.
Fulham have lost a number of exciting academy graduates over the years.
Mika Biereth is shining at Monaco now after leaving Fulham as a teenager, while Fabio Carvalho also left Fulham as a youngster too.
However, Fulham have brought back one former academy departee. Ryan Sessegnon is back at Fulham, and he’s in fine form at the moment it must be said.
Fabio Carvalho was linked with Fulham last year, and now, the Whites are looking at potentially bringing Harvey Elliott back to the club.
Fulham have spoken about Harvey Elliott
According to information gathered by TBR Football’s Graeme Bailey, there is a feeling within Liverpool that Elliott will leave the club this summer.
As a boyhood fan of Liverpool, Elliott doesn’t necessarily want to leave Anfield, but he feels as though he may have to leave for the good of his career.
Elliott is eyeing a place in the England squad at the next World Cup, but he won’t achieve that goal if he isn’t playing games.
Jurgen Klopp called Elliott a ‘super’ player last season, but he hasn’t had many opportunities under Arne Slot.
Some close to the situation have described Elliott’s situation as similar to Emile Smith Rowe’s at Arsenal.
Smith Rowe found it hard to leave Arsenal, but he had to go in order to get more minutes.
Ironically, Smith Rowe ended up at Fulham, and that could be Elliott’s next destination.
Fulham would be open to bringing Elliott back, and with Liverpool eyeing Antonee Robinson from Fulham, Elliott’s name has come up in those conversations.
Robinson grew up a Liverpool fan, and the left-back is on the Reds’ radar heading into the summer.
Other Premier League clubs are also keen on Elliott as Nottingham Forest, Newcastle, Brentford and West Ham have registered interest.
Fulham’s Harvey Elliott sell-on could play a part in transfer deal
Harvey Elliott is a wanted man, but Fulham could well be able to get a better deal than most here.
Indeed, Fulham are said to hold a 20% sell-on clause that was negotiated at a tribunal in 2021 after Elliott’s original move to Liverpool back in 2019.
Liverpool accept that this could play a part in Fulham’s negotiations. However, senior figures maintain that Elliott won’t be sold on the cheap.
A similar situation almost occurred at Tottenham back in 2023. Spurs looked at re-signing Marcus Edwards in a bargain deal as they held a significant sell-on clause for the winger.
Ryan Sessegnon has enjoyed a triumphant return to Fulham this season after departing as a teenager, and Elliott may well be set to tread a similar path.
