Exclusive: What sources close to Harry Kane are saying about England return this summer after Man United links

3 Min Read

Harry Kane is set to stay in Germany for one more season despite links back to the Premier League, TBR Football can reveal.

Kane left Tottenham Hotspur in 2023 to join Bayern Munich and has since been consistently linked with a move back to Spurs or potentially even Manchester United

The England captain chose to leave Tottenham for Bayern in his quest to win major honours, and the 31-year-old will do exactly that very soon.

Vincent Kompany’s Bayern side are one win away from winning the Bundesliga, partly thanks to 24 goals from Kane in the league this season.

Kane has 80 goals in 89 games for the Bavarian side, a ratio that even forgoes his prolific goalscoring in north London.

That being said, TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that sources close to Kane are playing down the chances of a Premier League return.

It has been suggested that Kane could look to move back to England this summer, potentially after winning the Bundesliga with Bayern.

Kane has been linked with controversial moves to Spurs’ London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea over the past few months.

But perhaps the most significant interest is coming from Old Trafford where Sir Jim Ratcliffe is openly a huge fan of Kane’s.

Within football there have been ‘murmurings’ about Kane’s future and whether he could actually move back to England this summer.

However, sources have told TBR that Kane is ‘likely’ to stay in Germany for one more season.

When is Harry Kane planning to return to the Premier League?

Although the England striker isn’t planning to leave Bayern just yet, a move back to England is still on the cards for Kane eventually.

It’s understood that Kane does fully intend on moving back to the Premier League at some point to end his glittering career.

Perhaps Tottenham will be hoping that their project will be in a position to be able to attract Kane back to N17.

But on current evidence, Man United could compete with Spurs all the way to land Kane’s signature.

Alan Shearer doesn’t want Kane back in the Premier League given how close the striker already is to his goalscoring record.

But Kane may still have unfinished business on English soil.
