Leeds United moved one step closer to securing the Championship title with a convincing 4-0 win over Bristol City on Monday evening.
Daniel Farke’s Leeds side once again showed how brilliant they can be in front of goal, explaining why they scored 93 times in 45 league games.
Both Leeds and Burnley will hit the 100 point mark if they win their respective games on Saturday lunchtime — a remarkable achievement for both sides.
However, some might argue that Leeds would already be at that mark were it not for some costly mistakes by Illan Meslier this season.
25-year-old Meslier has often proven that he can make spectacular saves at Elland Road, but his game is littered with mistakes and he sometimes struggles to do the basic things.
Of course, Farke has now turned to Karl Darlow towards the final weeks of the season, but a better solution will surely need to be found for the club’s return to the Premier League.
Caoimhin Kelleher could be Leeds’ perfect summer signing
With the greatest respect to both Darlow and Meslier, they are not goalkeepers who will inspire confidence in the Premier League.
And upon their return to the English top flight, Leeds should actually consider a move for Liverpool number two Caoimhin Kelleher.

Kelleher could leave Liverpool this summer given that he’s never realistically going to start all the time that Alisson Becker is at the club.
Alisson is one of the world’s best and Liverpool also have the scheduled arrival of Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia this summer to consider too.
Therefore, this could be an opportune time for the 49ers to make an ambitious move for Kelleher, who would surely be tempted by a club of Leeds’ size.
Kelleher might cost around £25m this summer if reports are to be believed, and whilst that would be a significant outlay for Leeds, it would be money very well spent.
Leeds need a Premier League proven striker
In addition to a new goalkeeper, a new striker should also be at the forefront of Leeds’ summer transfer plans.
Joel Piroe has been excellent in the Championship but Leeds might need a more physical presence at times in the Premier League.
In terms of who Farke’s side could target — finding proven Premier League quality could be crucial.
Perhaps Newcastle United’s Callum Wilson could be an option, even if his wages and injury history might be a concern.
And whilst he wouldn’t guarantee goals when he’s on the pitch like Wilson, perhaps Brighton & Hove Albion’s Evan Ferguson might be available.
Ferguson seems unlikely to stay at West Ham United this summer and perhaps Leeds could be the perfect club to unlock the striker’s rich potential.
