Now that Liverpool have won the Premier League, their full focus will shift towards the summer transfer window sooner rather than later.
Virgil van Dijk confirmed Liverpool’s ambitious summer plans as the Reds will have no intention to take their foot off the gas and allow teams like Arsenal and Manchester City to catch up on them next season.
But Arne Slot will be hoping that going into the following campaign, his squad is trimmed to the point where much-needed fresh faces are brought in and players who are surplus to requirements are sold.
Big names such as Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz could be out of the door come the summer window. Nunez looks set to leave Liverpool as he has been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid while Diaz’s future at Anfield is uncertain.

Atletico Madrid interested in signing Liverpool star Darwin Nunez
Liverpool have been aware Nunez could leave for ages anyway and AS have reported that Atletico Madrid are interested in signing him in the summer.
Angel Correa could depart Atletico Madrid after the FIFA Club World Cup and Nunez could be brought in as a replacement for the Argentine forward.
There are three reasons in place for Diego Simeone’s side to fancy a move for the Liverpool striker.
Atletico Madrid view a potential deal for Nunez as one that could be affordable while rating his quality and furthermore, they are attracted by the prospect of reviving the player they bring in.
While Nunez is Liverpool’s fastest player and has the positioning to score goals galore, his time in the red half of Merseyside has been an utter disappointment under both Jurgen Klopp and Arne Slot.
With that being the case, the report mentions that Liverpool are prepared to sell the 25-year-old for a fee in the range of €40-€45 million (£34-£38.2 million).
The Reds are even willing to send the former Benfica marksman out on loan with an option-to-buy in his contract as long as the club in question are happy to pay his wages while paying an initial loan fee.
Liverpool have shortlisted three Darwin Nunez replacements
But if Atletico Madrid swoop in and make a move for Nunez, Liverpool will have to replace him.
One of the options on their shortlist is Alexander Isak, who Liverpool reckon they can sign this summer.
Another possible incoming could be Joao Pedro, who Liverpool have contacted already.
