The Bayern Munich midfielder wants to take part in Germany’s host tournament this time around.

Aleksandar Pavlović has made quite a name for himself over the last year in Munich. With Bayern Munich, he solidified himself as an elite midfielder and became one of the top young prospects in the country. It didn’t take long for German national team coach Julian Nagelsmann to take notice. However, a comment Nagelsmann made indicated perhaps Pavlović wouldn’t be jumping right back in with Germany.

After missing Euro 2024, Pavlović is certainly keen to play a big role with the national team, but issues and illnesses seem to keep arising. Nagelsmann commented on Pavlović injury and fitness issues previously by saying “to play a really important role in the national team, you have to at least play 70-80 percent of the games”.

Despite the comment, Pavlović is still keen on working his way back to the squad, and hopefully a starting role once again. The midfield of Pavlović and Stiller has been a limited showing, but has given glimpses of serious promise. “We’ve talked [with Nagelsmann], but not about that. There’s still a bit of time until then. I’ll do my best to be there. The coach and I have a good exchange. Everything is fine,” Pavlović told Sky via @iMiaSanMia.

With uncertainty in the midfield for Germany, it seems that all parties will hope for Pavlović to return once again.
