The season is winding down…
Bayern eyeing Tonali? (CaughtOffside via 90Min.com)
This rumor seems to be coming from nowhere and will probably fall right back into the void, but let’s check it out anyway.
Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain could all be eyeing Newcastle United midfielder Sando Tonali:
Sandro Tonali has made it clear he is open to talks about a move away from Newcastle United, who could listen to offers of €80m (£68.6m). Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are all interested.
Tonali is considered to be able to function as a deep-lying playmaker or in a box-to-box role. Right now, it is hard to figure out how Bayern Munich would view Tonali and if he would complement the squad’s group for next season. Regardless, it feels like a longshot for Bayern Munich to make this kind of move even if the club was interested in Tonali four years go.
Barca wants Gyökeres (El Nacional via ESPN)
FC Barcelona could be looking at Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyökeres as a successor to Robert Lewandowski:
Barcelona are considering a €65m move for Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyökeres and could let Ronald Araujo and Ferran Torres leave to generate the funds.

Bayern still keeping eye on Nkunku? (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk via @iMiaSanMia)
Bayern Munich has been linked to Chelsea FC attacker Christopher Nkunku since January and could still end up making a move for the former RB Leipzig man this summer:
Bayern were informed that Christopher Nkunku has told Chelsea he wants to leave the club in the summer. In January, there were concrete talks with Bayern; Max Eberl even had a phone call with Nkunku. The Frenchman is still interested in a move to Bayern. But the club is unlikely to seriously pursue this option in the summer due to the high price tag.
Eintracht. Toppmöller to renew? (@Plettigoal)
Eintracht Frankfurt and former Bayern Munich assistant coach Dino Toppmöller are progressing toward a contract extension:
From Eintracht Frankfurt’s point of view, talks with Dino #Toppmöller are progressing very positively. He is still expected to extend his contract until 2028. #SGE
There is said to be NO release clause!
Final details still to be clarified…
Sky Sport journalist P.J. Berger is also reporting that things could happen fast:
⚫️⚪️ The contract talks between Eintracht Frankfurt and Dino Toppmöller (44/ ) are now expected to see decisive progress. A contract until 2028 is looming, but there is reportedly no exit clause. Financial details, among other things, were still being discussed until recently. #SGE

United eyeing Min-jae? (TEAMtalk)
As rumors swirl around Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae, Manchester United could get into the mix:
Manchester United tried to sign Kim Min-jae from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window and could come back for him again, according to a trusted journalist, who has also revealed his delicate frame of mind.
There have been suggestions that Amorim has told the Man Utd recruitment team that there is no need to sign another centre-back, despite the Portuguese boss playing with a back-three and could be two players short in that position next season.
Bild journalist Christian Falk, though, has now claimed that Man Utd could try to sign Kim this summer, having failed in their approach for the 28-year-old centre-back last summer.
Nicknamed ‘Monster’ during his time in Italy, where he won Serie A with Napoli, Kim, who plays with Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min for the South Korea national team, could leave Bayern at the end of the season.
Pogba’s future in MLS? (ESPN)
Free agent midfielder Paul Pogba could head to MLS, but might have to battle through a little red tape if he wants to team with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami:
D.C. United have the discovery rights to free agent — and 2018 FIFA World Cup winner — Paul Pogba, reports The Athletic. The 32-year-old hasn’t played a professional game since September 2023, after he was handed an 18-month ban for testing positive for DHEA, a banned substance. However, a comeback in the United States has long been mooted, after Pogba was spotted at several MLS stadiums earlier this year. The report suggests that the former Manchester United star is in talks, although a deal isn’t thought to be imminent at this stage which would see him join the likes of Lionel Messi in the U.S. league.

Kane reflects on winning Gerd Müller trophy (L’Equipe via @iMiaSanMia)
Harry Kane recently took some time to talk over winning the Gerd Müller trophy for the best goalscorer.
“A big honor and a great source of pride because it is the materialisation of my mission on the pitch: to score goals. That’s what people expect of me, that’s why Bayern Munich brought me here. This trophy also validates my career choice, that of leaving my country for the first time at the age of 30. It wasn’t a matter of course that things would work so quickly and so well,” said Kane. “I’m also very happy for my family that followed me and we often underestimate how difficult it is for them too to leave everything for a new country. This Gerd Müller Trophy also rewards that. And it allowed me to come for the first time to the Ballon d’Or ceremony and attend the presentation of all these prestigious awards. Hoping to come back maybe to win an even more prestigious one.”
Kane, of course, said that last part with a wink and a laugh.
Bayern Alumni: Flick set for extension with Barca (@berger_pj)
