Arsenal have an uphill battle ahead of them after losing at home against PSG on Tuesday evening.
The Gunners lost 1-0 against Le Parisiens at the Emirates on Tuesday, in spite of the fact Arsenal were fancied to beat PSG.
Arsenal had got past Real Madrid in the quarter-finals, and they came into this game with tons of confidence.
However, just four minutes into the game, that confidences was quelled as Ousmane Dembele put PSG 1-0 up, a goal that would prove to be the winner.
However, it wasn’t all doom and gloom for Arsenal. Myles Lewis-Skelly earned praise after this game, while, speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Ian Wright has reserved some special praise for Declan Rice.
Ian Wright praises Declan Rice’s performance vs PSG
Wright was reviewing this game, and he gave some praise to Rice for his performance here.
The pundit says that Rice was brilliant against PSG, although he noted that he did leave a gap for the PSG goal as he looked to double up on the threat from out wide.
“When you saw them building up, they were going out to the left, and what I saw from Declan, who, again, he was brilliant, he didn’t want the winger to have a one on one, but that left Dembele in space on the edge of the box. When you saw the strike go in it was about as perfect as you can get,” Wright said.
