Will Bayern Munich get the transfer deal completed this summer?

According to a report from Sport Bild journalists Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), reports of Bayern Munich and Florian Wirtz reaching an agreement on personal terms are “premature”:

There’s [still] no agreement between Bayern and Florian Wirtz. Bayern are determined to sign him and talks with the player’s camp are ongoing, but reports of an agreement are premature.

Bayer Leverkusen was the first to refute the initial report from Foot Mercato journalist Santi Auona, but since that point, several outlets (including Sky Sport) have said that nothing is finalized.

What does it all mean?

Well, the framework of an agreement could be in place. Essentially, when Jamal Musiala inked his new deal with Bayern Munich, the Wirtz contract wrote itself. It would be hard to think that after numerous conversations, there is not — at least — a handshake agreement on what the financial details would look like for a move.

If we had to guess, we would think that Bayern Munich and Wirtz’s camp are close (while not in full agreement) on the numbers for a pay structure (salary + bonus). The complicated part of this transfer will be dealing with Bayer Leverkusen, due to the strained relationship between the two clubs.
