Arsenal have some exceptionally quick players on their books right now.

Indeed, this Arsenal team has plenty of pace in it.

According to Gabriel Martinelli, Kieran Tierney is the fastest player at Arsenal, while William Saliba has been praised for his speed in the past too.

On top of that, Bukayo Saka is no slouch either down the right wing, often using his pace to get past defenders.

Speaking to TNT Sports, Jorginho has been asked to name who he believes is the fastest player at Arsenal, and he gave an intriguing answer.

Indeed, Declan Rice wishes he was as fast as Martinelli, while Leandro Trossard said Martinelli is the fastest player at Arsenal too.

The Brazilian is certainly a speedster on the ball, and he uses that to great effect at Arsenal, often leaving his markers for dead with his incredible speed.

Who are the fastest players at Arsenal?

Jorginho reckons Martinelli is the fastest player at Arsenal, but, interestingly, the stats tell a different story.

Indeed, Stat Sports released their data on who the fastest players at Arsenal were earlier this season, and they certainly make for interesting reading.

The 10 fastest players at Arsenal Top speed (km/h)
Ben White 36.36
Bukayo Saka 36.32
Gabriel Martinelli 36.03
William Saliba 35.56
Raheem Sterling 35.43
Jakub Kiwior 35.31
Martin Odegaard 34.92
Riccardo Calafiori 34.56
Oleksandr Zinchenko 34.2
Declan Rice 33.94

Ben White is actually the fastest player at Arsenal in terms of top speed reached, and that is somewhat surprising.

Indeed, you don’t necessarily associate White with his speed, but that’s perhaps down to the fact he isn’t as explosive as Martinelli.

Martinelli is often 0-100 in a matter of seconds, while it does take White a bit longer to get going, but, when he runs deep from right-back, he does have that time to get up to full speed, and, once he gets going, he is absolutely rapid.

Speed is an important attribute for any team, and Arsenal do have pace in abundance in their squad right now.

Who knows? Perhaps that pace will be enough to help the Gunners get past PSG and make it to the Champions League final.
