Once again Arsenal central defender William Saliba is being linked with a summer move to Real Madrid with suggestions that the Spanish giants have made him their main defensive target.
Saliba is under contract at the Emirates until 2027, and there have been no suggestions that he is unsettled at the Emirates.
However, Real, who may be about to change manager, with Carlo Ancelotti increasingly likely to take the Brazil job, and Xabi Alonso seemingly lined-up as the heir apparent, are willing to spend big money on the French international, who would reduce the age profile of their defence.
The Gunners are reportedly ready to offer Saliba a new contract so he has a big decision to make. Does he join Real Madrid and their band of Galácticos, or is he sufficiently convinced by the project under Mikel Arteta to commit his future to North London.
