Looks like the team will have to celebrate only after the season officially ends.
As Bayern Munich move towards the end of their 2024/24 Bundesliga campaign, the likelihood of bagging the Meisterschale has risen. Though nothing is concrete yet, the goal difference after the game against RB Leipzig is indicative of the fact that Bayern are Deutschefußballmeister 2025.
In recent days, some surprising news came out — manager Vincent Kompany had permitted the team to take a long weekend and make a team trip to Ibiza. This comes at a time when nothing is still fully conclusive — the trophy is yet to be handed to the Bavarians.
Most were critical of the timing of the trip, raising concerns that the players may not put forth their best if they were busy vacationing while the season is still ongoing. Max Eberl, along with the higher officials echoed the same sentiment. Per @iMiaSanMia, Eberl stated that the trip would not happen. We heard about it and talked to the team. We discussed it and said it wasn’t appropriate. The competition is still ongoing. Therefore, no trip,” he declared, ahead of the game against Leipzig.
