From sealed up to sold out?
Just a few days ago, it appeared that Bayern Munich and Leroy Sané were closing in on a contract extension, which would see the winger take a pay cut in return for a roster spot at Bayern Munich for the next three years.
A funny thing happened on the way to getting that deal done, though. Sané, whose season was filled with a few peaks and some extended valleys, has gotten hot lately and seems to be feeling himself a bit. Maybe so much so that he thinks Bayern Munich did not offer him enough money — which, in turn, led to him firing his representation and hiring noted agent Pini Zahavi.
Now Bayern Munich might be irate, Sané’s partner might want to move to London (or at least back to England), and the player himself might be willing to leave Bavaria in search of a better deal elsewhere.
BFW Community…tell us how you are feeling at the moment — should Bayern Munich up its offer to Sané before he starts talks with Arsenal FC, Liverpool FC, or Chelsea FC?
Let’s celebrate Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga championship and talk about what it means for several key members of the squad like Harry Kane, Eric Dier, and…Thomas Müller. Let’s also chat about late drama with Leroy Sané’s contract extension, Serge Gnabry potentially taking over for Harry Kane, and Kingsley Coman possibly wanting to stay in Bavaria as well.
