Chelsea ready to bid for Brentford striker

1 Min Read

Chelsea are ready to bid for Brentford striker Bryan Mbuemo in the summer, but face competition from Manchester United.

The 25 year old has 18 goals and six assists in the Premier League and has been labelled “unplayable” by his manager Thomas Frank.

He is yet another example of Brentford’s successful acquisition strategy, having been signed from French club Troyes six years ago, when they were still a Championship club. He has now played 238 games for them, and scored 68 times.

Although born in France, he qualifies to play for Cameroon through his parentage and he now has 22 senior caps for him.

He is valued in excess of ₤50 million, but he could prove to be an astute buy for anybody willing to meet that price. Not only is he Premier League proven and ready, but he is about to move into the peak years of his career, and should only get better.
