Well, this took a sudden downturn…

If Leroy Sané wanted Bayern Munich’s attention by hiring Pini Zahavi late in his contract extension negotiations, well, he might not be getting it.

In fact, it sounds like Bayern Munich might be fed up with the winger per Abendzeitung’s Maximilian Koch (via @iMiaSanMia):

Bayern will not offer Leroy Sané a signing fee and will not improve the terms of the contract previously agreed (€10m + €5m per year). If Sané and Zahavi demand more, then a separation is the most realistic scenario.

According to Tz’s Philipp Kessler and Mano Bonke (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich has decided to set an “ultimatum” with Sané — take the current offer or look for a new club:

Bayern bosses have already decided on an ultimatum for Leroy Sané internally – he either signs under the current terms offered to him, or he will have to leave the club this summer. There will be no improved offer.

Finally, Sport Bild’s Tobi Altschäffl and Heiko Niedderer (via @iMiaSanMia), are reporting that Sané has 10 days to accept the current offer or it will be withdrawn:

Bayern have given Leroy Sané a deadline of 10 days. He either signs the current offer or it will be withdrawn and he will have to leave. No signing fee, no improved offer – Bayern are firm.

And you all thought Bayern Munich was going to ease into the summer after winning the league title…

Anyway, if Sané does opto move on, Arsenal FC, Liverpool FC, and Chelsea FC are rumored to have major interest in him.

Let’s celebrate Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga championship and talk about what it means for several key members of the squad like Harry Kane, Eric Dier, and…Thomas Müller.
