Bayern Munich appears to be getting their man…

With the recent report that Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz has settled on joining Bayern Munich this summer, Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg released his own report detailing what the financial terms of what a deal with Bayern Munich might look like for the 22-year-old star:

As exclusively revealed months ago: it still remains the clear plan of the Wirtz family and the player to first move to Bayern, and then perhaps take the step abroad at some point in the future.

Bayern are still very optimistic that the transfer will go through as early as this summer. From Leverkusen’s point of view, the club have still not been informed of Wirtz‘ desire to leave. There are also still no negotiations taking place between the clubs.

Bayern are prepared to pay a salary of €20–25 million over a planned five-year contract.

With a transfer fee that could be in the neighborhood of €125 million-€150 million, Bayern Munich is looking at a total package of €250 million aka one quarter of a billion euros.

Let’s celebrate Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga championship and talk about what it means for several key members of the squad like Harry Kane, Eric Dier, and…Thomas Müller. Let’s also chat about late drama with Leroy Sané’s contract extension, Serge Gnabry potentially taking over for Harry Kane, and Kingsley Coman possibly wanting to stay in Bavaria as well.
