Tottenham Hotspur need to make a real splash in the summer transfer window.
Indeed, Spurs have had a terrible season, and Ange Postecoglou is likely to be sacked at the end of this campaign.
Spurs are set to finish in the bottom-half this season, and they need to perform surgery on their squad.
Tottenham are eyeing some interesting signings this summer. Angel Gomes has been linked to Spurs, while Tottenham also like Hugo Larsson.
Speaking on the BBC Radio Five Live Football Daily Podcast, Chris Sutton has pondered another signing Tottenham could potentially look at making this summer – Harry Kane.

Chris Sutton makes Harry Kane to Tottenham claim
Sutton spoke about Kane potentially returning to Tottenham after winning the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich.
The pundit says that Kane may have scratched the trophy itch that made him leave Spurs in the first place, claiming that the ‘world class’ striker may now think it’s time to come back to Tottenham.
“Yeah, well, why not? Tottenham, he loves Tottenham, doesn’t he?” Sutton asked.
“You wouldn’t leave Bayern for Tottenham at the moment, would you?” Sutton was asked.
“Well, I mean, you’re looking at things negatively. I mean, if Harry Kane goes back, they’ll improve on this season in the Premier League, won’t they?” Sutton said.
“So, if he loves the club that much, now he’s won a team trophy, he may think it’s time to come back and finish his career at Tottenham.
Players who re-signed for Tottenham
The old saying in football is ‘never go back, but if there’s one team in football who somewhat buck that trend, it’s Tottenham.
Indeed, Spurs actually have a solid record when it comes to re-signing their former players, as many have been successful during their second spells at Spurs.
Notable players who re-signed for Tottenham |
Jermain Defoe |
Teddy Sheringham |
Peter Crouch |
Gareth Bale |
Robbie Keane |
Jermain Defoe was brilliant during his second spell at Tottenham, as were Peter Crouch and Robbie Keane.
Teddy Sheringham also had a solid second spell at Spurs, and while Gareth Bale didn’t get to play in front of crowds upon his return to Tottenham, Bale was still impressive during that 2020/21 season.
Kane returning to Tottenham has been discussed non-stop since his departure, and perhaps he could well make his grand return to north London this summer.
