‘It’s not going to be’: Spurs have reduced their asking price for Richarlison after Everton eye move – journalist

Everton are keen to bring Richarlison back to the club from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The Brazilian spent four years at Goodison Park, and he was a fan favourite there. Everyone loved him, and he is still adored despite leaving them.

Tottenham agreed a £60 million deal with Everton to sign Richarlison in 2022, but things have not worked out in North London.

The Brazilian’s future is up in the air as a result, and the Toffees are open to taking him back once the summer transfer window opens.

Tottenham’s asking price for Everton target Richarlison

A new era is set to begin at Everton.

The Toffees will leave Goodison Park and move to Bramley-Moore Dock at the start of next season, and they are hoping to achieve big things there.

To do that, they will need new signings in the summer transfer window, and TBR Football revealed back in March that Everton would be open to re-signing Richarlison.

Spurs were ready to sell him last summer for £60 million, a fee Saudi clubs were willing to pay for Richarlison.

Now, Tottenham have lowered their asking price and are prepared to let him go for a smaller fee to Everton or any other club.

That’s according to Ben Jacobs, who told GiveMeSport: “It’s not going to be quite as high from Tottenham’s perspective as last summer, when the number was £60 million or no business.

“But, Richarlison is still valued by Tottenham in the region of £40 million to £45 million.”

Richarlison’s stats at Tottenham and Everton compared

Richarlison showed during his time at Everton that he had what it takes to play for a bigger club, but things have not worked out.

Injuries have been a big reason, but there have been times when he has struggled even when he has been fit. That is why Spurs are open to letting him go.

Everton would be a great destination for Richarlison, and the Brazilian has already proven that he can deliver for the Toffees.

TBR can confirm that Everton are confident that they can sign Richarlison, but it remains to be seen if they can afford to meet Tottenham’s asking price.

It will also be interesting to see if Spurs will entertain a loan move if they fail to land a good enough offer in the summer transfer window.

Either way, all signs point towards Richarlison leaving Tottenham this summer.
