3 Min Read

Amad Diallo has been one of the shining lights for Manchester United this season.

Indeed, while Diallo has been injured recently, the winger has earned huge praise this season for his performances.

Amad Diallo has become a star at Manchester United in recent times, and speaking to Sports Direct, the Ivorian has been discussing some of his teammates.

The attacker was asked to name which player he most enjoys playing with at United, and, unsurprisingly, the forward said Bruno Fernandes is his favourite teammate.

Diallo has previously praised Marcus Rashford, but now, he’s hailed Fernandes as his favourite teammate.

“Which players have you connected most with at United?” Diallo was asked.

“I have connected with everyone, but I like to play with Bruno, we understand each other, we have a good connection on the pitch. Bruno is technical, he likes to keep the ball, he’s intelligent in the game, so I learn a lot of things from him,” Diallo said.

Amad Diallo’s record alongside Bruno Fernandes

Diallo has named Fernandes as his favourite teammate at United, and the stats suggest that these two do indeed have a great connection.

Indeed, while Manchester United have been, for the most part, awful this season, Diallo and Fernandes, somehow, still have a respectable record when playing together.

Amad Diallo’s record alongside Bruno Fernandes
Games 49
Wins 25
Draws 10
Losses 14
Joint goal participations 5

Five joint goal participations doesn’t sound like a huge tally, but a return of one every 10 games is a great return.

For some context, the most prolific partnership of Bruno Fernandes’ career on that front is alongside Marcus Rashford, and they only link-up for a goal once every 8.2 games on average.

Diallo and Fernandes may well be the pairing that defines the next generation at Manchester United as the Red Devils look to get back to their very best.
