Club still demanding answers.
Bayern Munich does not appear ready to drop the Alphonso Davies injury situation with Canada Soccer.
From reporting at the end of last month via Tz journalists Hanna Raif and Philipp Kessler, as captured by @iMiaSanMia:
Bayern are still waiting for a report from Canada Soccer that fully explains the events surrounding Alphonso Davies’ ACL injury. The club is wondering why it’s taking so long and whether the Canadians have something to hide
Patience at Säbener Straße is waning, and CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has recently reiterated his insistence on a comprehensive medical report from Canada Soccer
Bayern remain firm and have declined the offer of a personal meeting with Canada Soccer General Secretary Kevin Blue in Munich as long as there’s no written basis for discussion. The board’s position is clear: Only once the documentation is available can further steps be discussed after a thorough analysis. Legal action is still not ruled out
The Davies injury, which occurred against the USMNT and just prior to the Bavarians’ two-legged defeat to Champions League finalists Inter Milan in the quarterfinals, was undoubtedly a heavy blow to Vincent Kompany’s side. It remains to be seen whether the Canadian MNT can answer questions to Bayern’s satisfaction.
